Below is information on a dissertation study being conducted by a doctoral candidate at Alliant International University. Mr. Falcone is looking to recruit participants within the San Diego area and will provide financial compensation for study participation (see below).

A Dissertation Study on Married Military Couples Experience of a Deployment Process during Current Iraq and Afghanistan Wars Researcher: Michael J. Falcone, M.A. Alliant International University Purpose of Study The purpose of this study is to explore the relational experiences and impacts married military couples encountered during the deployment process (pre-deployment, deployment, and post-deployment) of the current Iraq and Afghanistan wars. Criteria for Participation in the Study In order to be considered eligible for participation in this study, military couples must meet the following criteria: (1) Identify as married (2) Identify as married for a minimum of one year prior to their experience of the deployment process (3) Be between the ages of 20 to 35 year old (4) Experienced at least one deployment process during the current Iraq or Afghanistan War (5) The spouse enlisted in the military that was previously deployed to the current Iraq or Afghanistan war must be the husband (6) Married military couples must be at least 1 month into the post-deployment phase (7) Agree to complete a short demographic questionnaire (8) Be willing to sign a consent for participation form Participation and Compensation You would be required to participate in one face-to-face audio taped interview as a couple for a period of 1 1/2 hours. In addition, you are being asked to meet or be available to speak to this researcher by phone for a minimum time period of 30 minutes approximately two weeks to one month post interview. If you agree to participate, you will be financially compensated as a couple with a $25 dollar American express gift card for your participation in this study. In addition, you will be eligible to receive a bonus $10 dollar American Express gift card per referral of up to five married military couples that meet criteria for participation in this study and then participate in this study. You are limited to five successful referrals before you are no longer eligible for bonus compensation. Confidentiality Your confidentiality is of the utmost importance. I am neither I AM an Alliant student, but received the flyer through one of my coworkers. After reviewing the flyer I contacted him and asked if he needed additional particpants.

It sounded like a very interesting opportunity.

I would particpate if we met the criteria, but we don't.

maybe you can post this in the Location one for Southwest for San diego people.

it sounds interesting and i always want to try and help out with research but we dont meet the post-dep requirements lol
