Just a little update on me =) - Post Deployment

So..Maybe 2 weeks ago(?) DB broke up with me. We had no contact at all for about a week.
He then contacted me to "talk". It was kinda a rough conversation. I didn't expect to hear much from him afterwards....BUT!

The next day he called and asked if I wanted to go out and watch the hockey game. So we went out with his best friend and girlfriend. It was GREAT.

I figured I wouldn't hear from him for a few days, I didn't contact him as I'm trying to give him his space. Well I have seen him EVERYDAY since that initial hangout. Everyday I didn't expect to hear from him, and everyday I get a good morning text or call, he makes plans for dinner or a cute date. He has been nothing but attentive,loving and perfect. We are not "official" but i'm okay with that. The pressure is off. In a few weeks we are going away for the weekend for a Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Event.

His best friend returned from Iraq right before DB left for deployment. He has been such a good support system for DB. He went through & is still going through the same readjustment/PTSD DB is going through and i'm just very thankful to have him around..

He skipped his 2nd counseling appt...Which upset me but I said nothing. He made the choice to go back on his own and from what I see, it is all been a success.

Sorry to make this so long...I just wanted to post an update. Thank you, every one of you, who told me to chill out and give him his space. It was hard for me to do, and we still have a long way to go..But if it wasn't for this site & everything I have learned, I dont know where we would be at right now.!!!!!
