have split since your SO has been back??

This is the one thing that scares me to death. I know there's so much that he is going through and although he tells me he won't change and that he will always love me it still scares me because he could change...

we split while dating...now we're married.

we didn't split after he got back from deployment...we got married!!!

i know it's a fear, and DH and i both had anxieties about him coming back, but we were open and honest in all communication throughout the deployment and we ended up just fine

We got married BEFORE he left for Iraq. But it is still something that worries me.

my best advice is for you to tell him these fears...he may be having them too...but at least get them out there

some people keep the mindset that you should keep things from your deployed SO because they have enough to worry about...DH and i went the totally opposite way with that...we decided to tell all because it was better to know that your SO was well taken care of emotionally (since they can't physically do it) than to sit around and wonder if they are about to walk away or lose sight of the love they had for you

only you know what is best for you and your DH, but that is JMHO

Yeah I have had a lot of people tell me not tell let him know that things bother me, at least not while he is there. Before he came home for r&r I cried every time we talked. Well I mentioned that to someone and I thought they were gonna choke me right then and there because I let him know I missed him and was ready for him to come home.

And I have mentioned that it does bother me and that I do think that sometimes but its had to get my DH to open up really. DH has been through a lot with past gf's and sometimes it almost feels like he doesn't trust me 100% because he won't open up all the way..it's hard.
