post-deployment block leave
For those who have planned trips/weddings after deployment, at what point did you set dates or book those things? I'm not looking to anytime soon, but I wanted to see what everyone's experience was like.
We're planning on renewing our vows overseas when he gets back and I'm in the process of planning it, but I have this sad feeling it won't work because dates are always so up in the air. |

I think it was about a month before he got back. We had our honeymoon when he got back but did JOP not a wedding. He had about a 28 day block leave and we just planned it near the middle - end of when his leave would be.

Ok, thanks for the info
![]() He'll have about the same amount of time and I know the tentative week he'll be back, so I've given the planner a window when we could do it, but I don't think I'll be cementing any plans until spring it looks like. |
