Not even the Army can shatter my spirit.

Sorry my subject is so vague. I was trying to compress one thought into a short phrase...
My actual question is: Do you miss him even though he is at home? DB just finished Iraq tour #3. He's at home with me, but I miss him so much when he's even just around the corner in another room talking to his brother. We are staying with his family for a week, and he left to go fishing this morning. I had to keep myself SO distracted so that I wouldn't count the minutes until I saw him again. I feel ridiculous for having this attachment anxiety. But its there and until I've had him home for a couple of months, I don't know if it will subside. Anyone else feel this way? |

oh yea, i mean mine was never deployed but i know i do that missing him when he is home thing alot.
its like you expect a WHOLE lot of together and attention and just ... i dont know what i expect... like us to be touching all the fricken time or something LOL its not uncommon, but i do think that it gets better with time, you just need to get used to him being home just like he needs to get used to being home.. hope that helps. my DB been gone from home for 9 months for training things once, and thats what im comparing this to, so it might be completely different for a deployment.

Thanks ladies! I'm just really glad I'm not the only one. I ended up telling him how I was feeling last night and he was really understanding. He hugged me and said it would get better with time but that he completely respected and understood my feelings. He said that since he is home with his family now, he thinks that is why he doesn't have those feelings. He said once we go to my family's house, he'll feel that same way.
I'm grateful he understands my feelings though and supports me! Thanks again!

Oh my gosh yes. I think part of it is that suddenly you're just so happy that you are afraid it's all going to go away. Eventually it'll ease up a bit though... I bet he's the same way
