Did any of your men come home from over "there" and cheat on you and/or start a new relationship with another girl right away? Sort of throwing you away and not even wanting to talk to you and/or lying to you about the whole thing?

My ex (now) called me up Friday afternoon and basically said he doesn't want to live a life of lies anymore but that he has really strong feelings for this girl, who by the way lives in Missouri and him in Massachusetts? But also that he wants to make things ok between us but not be my friend either? Has this happened to anyone else?

That hasn't happened to me (thankfully) but I'm really sorry that you have to go through that. Over "there" does horrible things to their heads...and most of the time...they are at least a little different if there isn't a huge difference. Did he act differently other than that?

The sad thing that I think about is that some of the guys have so much time to be away from their SOs that they think about the time they are spending apart from that person. It gives them (just as it does for us) opportunity to really consider their feelings for the person at home and really decide if that is the person for them or not. I'm truly sorry to say this and I feel horribly that this has happened to you, but that is the only thing I can think as to why he changed his mind like that... I'm sure it is absolutely nothing that you did though.

Happened to me...but then Mikey was always a self-centered bastard. LOL!

Sorry you are going thru that. I have never had it done to me but I had a friend who it happened to. She married this guy and then he and DH had a deployment together and when they came back he decided he loved her but was not "in love " with her whatever that is suppose to mean, right? Men are such a holes sometimes. I hope that you are able to move on because you deserve someone better then that.
