some good news - Post Deployment

ok so i thought i would share with you ladies a funny but sad story, and hopefully bring a smile to some of your faces as it seems some of you are having a bit of a rough time of it. so ok during deployment DB told me he wanted to marry me when he came home in an instant message and I told him I was gonna ignore that and he can ask me again when he came home..no he hasn't asked yet but we went ring shopping and I found "the" one, but they were VERY overpriced and i don't think it is in his current budget. so the last 2 days he was acting all weird and secretive and shifty so I sorta pulled at WTF

on him and in a panic he blurts out "i was at the jeweler designing your ring" ok ok of course I get super giddy but I am also

i should have realized and I ruined my own surprise ..stupid girl then I start to panic, what if I don't like the ring

and then I think on it some more and realize you know what no matter what as long as it is simple I will love it and I will love it even more because it is custom designed by him combining all the things i liked in a couple rings. No idea when he is actually going to pop the question but I will keep you all posted

Awwww, dont you hate when you spoil your own surprises? I do that all the time and DF will just tell me because he doesnt want me mad. lol. But DF actually did the same thing and asked me to marry him while he is on deployment though email and sent me a pic of a ring he bought on liberty
That is so exciting.... Im so happy for you.... Definitely keep me posted when he pops the big question

My DH ruins his own suprises all the time! I bought him a special engraved wedding band before he left and he ruined it because he was mad that some money went "missing" and I wouldn't tell him what I did with it.

Can't wait to hear the official announcement!

DB and I are both awful had keeping surprises surprises. Keep us posted and there better be pictures of the work of art after he pops the questions!

See, I LOVE surprises and I an not a nosy person, so I get surprised all the time...I'm en excellent "surpriser" as well! It's so much fun!!!

awww---what a sweet and funny story! By DB ruins his own surprises by telling me he has a surprise and then gets so excited about it and starts giving me "hints" which are so obvious that he ends up telling me what it is. Makes me laugh!

you will like it because it is from him. i have a friend who engagement ring was this heart shape (very like grade school heartish) she thought it was horrible at first but after a few days she realized that she didn't really care what it looked like cause it meant something to him
