I read books on how to save a failing marriage, or how to improve a relationship. I journaled. I blogged. I also baked a lot more. I traveled more. I spent time with friends that I never would have, had we been together. I spent money on whatever I wanted, without having to fear a negative reaction if he didn't feel it was a wise purchase. There is no right or wrong way to heal. Do whatever it is you need to do to come to terms with things, as long as that doesn't involve seeing him (for right now). Do embarrassing things. Do empowering things. Chop all your hair off. Go skydiving. Write him nasty letters, and don't send them. Read It's called a breakup because it's broken. Breakups suck. You'll have good days and bad days, and we'll be there for all of them. [That is for all of you newly single ladies. Welcome to our club!]

Ms. Nutmeg- Came to the Single Ladies thread after her and J broke up. After a year of on and off talking to J, dating around, and doing her own thing, she met the love of her life and became official with A on June 6th, 2011. She still frequents the board from time to time to check up on her favorite ladies and say hi

sarah dee- I joined MSOS for my ex M, who is in the Army. He ended things the end of November 2010, about 5 months into our relationship, when he came home for R & R. Since then I've dated a few guys here and there but for the most part I've been single. My most recent interest is a Marine, A, who I met through Adopt a Platoon. School occupies a lot of my time and I will be graduating in May with my Bachelor's in Early Childhood/Special Education. Please don't hesitate to PM me if you need to talk!

BudLiteQueen -- After breaking up with her psycho ex, Ryan she spent the next 4 months waiting around for N to make up his mind of whether or not he wanted to be with her. Then she gave up and decided to move on where she met Dan, her current DB who couldn't be sweeter.

Jerzeylicious89/mushortgurl03 - After being in an abusive marriage for 2 years, I decided it was time to move on and get a divorce. I didn't deserve that treatment and wouldn't wish that type of treatment on my own worst enemy. I was rescued by my parents and moved from FL back to NJ. I have been living in my grandmother's townhouse for the past almost 6 months. I've been dating around but decided that the dating pool is not nice to BBW's so I'm on a dating hiatus. If Mr. Right exists, he'll come whenever the time is right, until then, I've resorted to living a life alone but a GOOD/HAPPY/Healthy life alone where I live up to my own expectations and demands. So now I reside here in the Single Ladies thread until I deem someone worthy of my time.

Jillybean - I joined MSOS for my xDB, Ryan, who was in the Coast Guard. We dated for a year and a half, and then in November 2010 he broke up with me through a text message Since January 2011, I've been on/off sort of dating my best guy friend/xboyfriend, Tyler, but keeping other options open because he doesn’t seem to want a commitment.

Jessym - Joined MSOS for this guy a couple years ago, went inactive, then came back for my exDB turned DF. We started dating July 9th, 2010 and broke up July 12th, 2011. I've moved on and now, I'm trying to find someone who can be my everything and working through my commitment issues.

Malfoy - Real name: Mallory. Status: Single; Mallory joined MSOS because of her exDB but when they decided to just be friends, she couldn't leave her new forum of friends behind. She plans to be a marriage and Family Therapist. Mallory also loves Harry Potter. Anything and everything about it. While finding a man with a British accent and a love for all things Potter would be ideal, Mallory just wants to find a guy who wants to be with her as much as she does with him. She stalks MSOS like a starving animal approaching prey, so if you need someone to talk to, send her a message.

That's part of mine. My best friend agreed we would spend New Year's Eve together but now she's backing out and going back to her hometown to spend it with her boy-friend-thing who I don't get along with. Just kinda hurt my feelings cuz she knows it's been a rough month. Oh well

And exDB now has a new girl which is a lot to swallow.
