Do people shorten/change your name? Do you hate it?

I'm Alexis, and I get:

Alexia
Alex
Al (which I like better than Alex)
Lexie
Lex
Ali (which is my family nickname and I'm fine with it most of the time - LOVE being called that by my mom.)

I also abhorr being called Alecia. HATE it.

He gets A-Ron a lot, which pisses him off too, lol.

YES, I have one that I HATE.

I don't even want to say it for fear of people calling me it here. No one has thought of it yet, that I have noticed, and I certainly don't want to provide it.

People tried to lengthen my name a lot too, though. They would be presumptuous and call me Katrina and Katherine all the time. Apparently it is weird that my full name is a nick name of those?

My maiden name was Hammack though... And I got called Trina "Hangs Between Trees" when I was in grade school.

I also got Trina Hammerhead and Trina Hamhock.

My legal name is Victoria. I am Tori. NOT Vicky. I hate Vicky.

My mom and I were actually talking the other day about changing our legal names from Victoria and Tamara to Tori and Tami. It would just be easier to get called what we want.

ETA: My little sister's name is Samantha... she goes by Sami. So it is Tami, Tori, Sami.

We are so lame with our matching "i"s.

I get called Nik which I dont mind at all, but when people call me Nikki it really annoys me... I have nothing against that name, but I was a really big tomboy growing up and that name just never fit my personality.

I get Britt and I like it. My family either calls me Britt or Britt-Britt. I've been Britt-Britt since I was born so it doesn't bother me.

No I never really had a nickname. People just call me Stacey though I had an ex that called me CeCe. It was for "cute cheeks" because for some reason a few people think I have really cute cheeks. No I don't mean my butt cheeks either lol I mean the ones on my face.

My name is Katherine. The one I get most often is Kathy and I absolutely despise it. Most people know me as Kate since being an adult though, so it isn't too much of an issue anymore.
