NEW: My SO is stationed in another country & I'm not with them.
Because our other thread was getting super long, I created this new one.

Torie- Thank you so much for the wedding planning help! I'm not quite sure what we're going to do. I wanted to go to England this summer and get married somewhere in Europe but it just doesn't seem practical. It would be amazing if we could though! So, we've been thinking more JOP style just for the time being then having a bigger wedding next year sometime.
I am actually renting a house right now and I'm on the lease until the end of September. DF is wanting to move out of the dorms and into on-base housing once he goes back after the wedding, can he do that? His friend who recently got married said that he could but we're just not sure. I know he is going to have to start asking a lot of these questions but I'm trying to find out as much as I can. Rei- Thanks for the tough love! That's exactly what I need to hear. I tend to get a lot more accomplished when I have that

Your DH can't occupy married housing and be drawing BAH at the same time. He also won't be able to move into married housing until you're command sponsored.

That's exactly what I was thinking! But he can draw BAH once we're married though, right? This is so confusing!

However, you cannot draw BAH AND occupy married government quarters even if you are seperate. The day he signs for married quarters your BAH stops.
