    "New" Camera

    Advertisements
I just got a "new" (new to me ) Canon 300D. I figured it would be a good starter. I had a Sony a100 which I sold several month ago for financial reasons, but I wanted to switch to Canon and move forward from there.

Anyone worked with this camera before? I know it is older, but I am excited to starting snapping away!

I'm an Olympus girl myself but DSLR is awesome. What lens do you have with it? What is your favorite subject to shoot?

I have one of these that I got a loooong time ago. I use it as a back up camera, or when I am going somewhere that I don't want to risk my newer camera getting broken. It's a good camera! Canon cameras are though. Do you have the manual for it, too?

Backups are good. When I got my E-5 I thought about selling my E-3 but decided instead to send it in and get it serviced and keep as a back up!!!

It comes with the 28-80mm kit lens. I am a bit of a nature girl when it comes to pictures but I plan on getting more into portrait style and kids when the time comes. What lens would work for that?

I bought a used camera off of someone and I still learning to use. How do you know what lens you have?

I am just curious, I am such a newbie.

Looking at your picture, it says the mm and f stop ( :3.5 or something similar and it is normally a range) around the ring on the lens. Mine I know because the ebay auction said that is what is included, I am just waiting to receive it now.

I don't believe it comes with the manual. I was planning on checking out some online tutorials to get familiar with it.
