    Looking to upgrade my camera.

Right now I have a Nikon Coolpix L110. I love it to death, however, I would like to upgrade my camera sometime in the future.

What do you ladies (and gents ) suggest as my first non-point and shoot.

I don't plan on doing photography a business per say, but just as a hobby and being there when friends want pictures taken, etc.

I have the Canon T1i and I LOVE it... it is a little on the pricey side. But, totally worth it. The pictures are 500x better than the one I take with my point and shoot. AND, I can change lens and do a lot of cool things with it. Keep an eye for 'bundle' deals. I got mine with an extra lens and a bag. It's been awesome!!!!

I would also suggest finding some form of bundled DSLR. This will allow you to grow with your camera as you decide you want to do more with it.

The BX had a bundled DSLR but I didn't look twice at it because it was 1000$

But I think I'll go back and actually look at it and see what it comes with, etc.

Look at Ebay too. You can find some great deals.

    I had forgotten about this

DH bought me a Nikon D3100 with a lens bundle.

I played with the Cannon but it wasn't "me".

    Thanks everyone!

Just FYI that when you go to buy any new lenses, you need to make sure that they are AF-S or they won't work on your camera. That is the main reason I upgraded from the 3000.

Enjoy it! I love taking pics so much!!
