    I need a new lens...

I'm tired of this stupid kit lens.

I need a Canon Lens that's relatively affordable and takes great pictures.

    Suggestions?

    I've got one.
I just need a lens for regular shooting.

I was also looking at Macros.

I just need a higher shutter speed for natural light photos.

I should probably invest in a flash too, to bounce light instead of using direct built in flash.

I have this one and I really like it. It isn't a macro lens though. Even if you wanted to kind of fake a macro-ish look by getting in really close to a subject it doesn't focus as close as the kit lens does. The fact that you can go all the way to 1.8 is fabulous though, especially for low light and awesome DoF options.

I don't have a canon, but a nikon and i rented the 50mm 1.8 to see if it wanted to spend the money to buy it. I didn't want to spend the money on it and not like it. Maybe you could do that also to see which lens you like the most and go from there. Good think i rented it bc i just have the D40 and it doesn't AF with it.

I rented from Canon Lens Rental - Rent Canon Lens, Speedlight, Camera Body and Accessories

If you do a internet search for borrowlenses coupon codes you'll find some good ones. I got a week free on mine.
