Photo contest rules

Please make sure that you have read these rules before entering the weekly Photo contests...failure to do so may result in your entries being disqualified.

a few very simple rules to follow when entering the Photo Contests!

1) It must be a photo you have taken yourself! (Setting up a tripod or propping the camera on something and setting a timer does count...as long as you do the propping and setting! )

2) It must be directly related to the theme of the week in order to qualify!

*Optional rule (Theme chooser has the right to use or not use this rule!)
3) No major altering or enhancements allowed! This includes making borders, adding words or things to the pictures that weren't there when it was taken! (changing to black and white or sepia to match the theme is fine, as well as changing the overall color or contrast as you would do when developing)* This rule is OPTIONAL

4) DO NOT vote for your own Photograph! (We all like our photos or we wouldn't enter them, but if we all voted for our own we would have no winners!)

5) please do not say who you voted for in the poll...the polls are anonymous for a reason...if you want to post in the poll, simply state that you voted, and any type of general chatter (ie. great pictures this week, that was a though choice, etc.)

6) ONE picture per person only. You can not post a bunch of pictures then ask what one everyone likes best...it defeats the purpose, if you do this, you will not be entered in that weeks contest.

I wanted to add this...you do not have to have a photo in the competition to vote in it! Please everyone vote if you want to! Thanks!

General info:

The contests will run one week, Monday to Monday. Contest themes are chosen by the previous weeks winner (if I won this week, I would choose next weeks theme). Winners will get a blinkie, or icon pertaining to the theme. Winners are chosen by a poll vote. Themes will open on Monday, and close the following monday, when the theme is closed, it will be placed into a poll, for everyone to vote one. You can change your entry...as long as it's before the entry deadline, just replace your first entry with "photo changed", and make a new post, that way we don't get confused

I want this to be fun and I want us to all get along...if you have a problem or suggestion, please PM me or Ryry and we will try to resolve it!

Rule 3...the editing one, it OPTIONAL...up to the person who choose the theme...as Ry and I chose this theme, we chose to not allow editing...figured we'd start small for the first week...each theme will say whether or not the person is allowing editing
