Adjusting to new home

If you've ever moved with a pet...did it take them awhile to adjust to your new home? I've been in the new house 2 nights now and Ari has been acting really funny, he'll whimper if I leave the room or he can't see me. He use to have some separation issues (when I first got him) but they went away after a few weeks..I'm wondering if the new move brought them on.

Yes, it has always taken our furbabies a few days to a week to adjust to their new surroundings - it's a big change for them, especially since, unlike us, they don't really understand what is going on, why you have moved, etc. Give him a few days and some encouragement/support, he'll come around.

My dog adjusts no problem but my cat takes a few days & in the meantime she hides out under our bed alot
