My neighbor has been gone for 2 weeks...
well today I walked infront of her house and saw 3 cats
well we're on base and only allowed 2.
anyways
I'm not turning her in...
but I really hope someone is feeding them...
they look really skinny to me...
but they might just be young...
I don't know what to do...
or if I should leave them alone...

They could have left food and water and the cats are saving food?
I knew of one wife who paid someone to watch their dogs for 2 days and they never showed up. They had a mess when they came home! -

07-26-2007 09:25 AMHave you noticed anyone coming and going from the house at all since she left? I would monitor it for 48 hours as closely as you can and, if you see no sign of anyone coming to care for the animals, I would then call PMO/animal control and ask for a welfare check on the cats.
Even if she left food and water out for them two weeks is too long. There is a sanitation issue because with the cats confined they are having to elminate somewhere and no litter box (or number of boxes) can accomodate that without it becoming a sanitary problem. -

I know whenever DH and I leave we just leave big bowls of food around and make sure the huge water bowl is filled and she is fine.
