    Exclamation Hypoallergenic cat or dog?

I read this in a pamphlet from Safeway. To find out more about dog breeds that generally do well with allergy sufferers, go to https://www.akc.org/about/faq_allergies.cfm.

I thought it was interesting. A company called Allerca a has produced the world's first scientifically-proven hypoallergenic cats.

I really wish they'd stop tinkering with nature.

    Yea, I've heard of that...

Not too sure what I think of it. I agree with Lilithdrff though

Strange what science can do these days!

My dog is hypoallergenic and I'm pretty sure he wasn't tinkered with...maltese's just naturally have a different kind of hair. He also doesn't shed...I can lay him on a black peacoat and he won't leave any hair behind, even when his hair is long. I love it.

Now if they are messing with the animals to make them hypoallergenic that is a little sketchy

Agreed! I have no issue with using straight-up hybridization or the proliferation of those breeds with natural hypoallergenic qualities but I do have an issue with scientific tinkering/genetic manipulation.
