Franks does that, too. We dont have a backyard, but when we're at my parent's or my aunt's house he yelps and whines at the back door, but when you put him out bu himself (or even with another dog) he wants to come right back in.
I think he may have some kind of attachment issues though, cause when we're home he follow us around like a shadow. Crazy little nutter

That is how Iris is. She will sit right here while I'm studying or on the computer and chew on her toys, and when I get up and go in another room she is right there with her toy! LOL!!! She even sits in the bathroom when I am taking a bath!!!! Silly dog!

omg yes!! I cannot take a bath without letting him in. Otherwise he'll sit at the door and whine the whole time. His persistence amazes me sometimes .
