    Military Dogs

    Advertisements
Anyone ever send a care package to a military dog? I've been thinking about it and I'm going to do it. I already support a soldier, so now it's time to support the pups! But I don't know how to go about doing it. I searched online and saw some organizations I could go through. I was just curious if anyone on here has done it. What organization did you go through? I want to make sure they are legit and I'm not wasting my time and money on a fraudulent organization.
    Thanks for the help!

I was looking at some really old posts and found this site

K9 Care Packages - Military Working Dogs | Move America Forward

And I was searching google and found this site. They just explain about US War Dog Association and how to send a care package through that organization.

Support Working Military Dogs By Sending K9 Care Packages - Dogtime

They seem like good organizations to go through, but still hoping to hear input from anyone who might have done it!

I don't remember where I heard about it, but I remember hearing that military dogs get forgotten about pretty much and that they are in need of supplies. You can send toys, treats, booties to protect their paws, ointment for their dry paws, goggles to protect their eyes; the second website has a list of things they are in need of.
And the first website you can also send packages to a soldier, a platoon, a battalion. All you do is order what package you want and the organization puts the package together and sends it to them. The second website you are given the name of a soldier who has a dog and you put the package together. So if you wanted, you could include some items for the soldier as well(the website states that's appreciated and welcomed by the soldiers)
