    Goodvibes needed for Little Elle

    Advertisements
One of the babies at work was born with herpes. This current flare up has been hard. She had a fever of 105 on Friday, we got it down over the weekend and it's back up to 104.5 today. She was already being treated for an upper respiratory infection and the vet had us add in an anti-viral. With the fever she sounds like crap and her poo is dark red. We're off to the vet later. Happy Monday!

Took her, who is actually a him, guess we'll be renaming lol, but I digress, to the vet. The herpes weakened her immune system, making it harder to fight off the upper respiratory issues it progressed to pneumonia or bronchitis, add that into what is likely worms in his gut. He hasn't been old enough to deworm yet, so we're going to now. Just an overall sickie kitty, going to also be adding in probiotics.

Also had to take another one in with him. He came to us a week ago, had been found running around a restaurant and no claimed him, he came in with one visible sore well I found another this morning, and it was oozing and gross. They ended up shaving around both, poor guy had been bitten around the hips and they'd abscessed. So he's on an antibiotic and I guess we now understand why he's terrified of other cats. What a Monday lol

Thank you everyone, been pretty worried about the kitten, knew something needed to be done this morning.
