Company that makes stuffed animal replicas of a persons pet

Toy company will make a stuffed animal replica of your pet | www.news965.com

a partial quote from the article:

Many pet owners get separation anxiety when they have to leave their pet. A toy company wants to help ease the pain.

When I first saw this story, I didn't know what to think of it. I know someday my kittie will pass on, and DB and I will miss her, but this seems a little strange at first glance. Granted, she sleeps 18 hours a day anyway, so having a stuffed animal in a curled up position would seem natural for her When she's awake though she's been a great companion, not just to me but also DB's niece and nephew when they come to visit. And you can't get a back massage from a stuffed animal

I have seriously considered getting my dogs taxidermed (is that a word?) But know it would be weird so when I saw this on facebook, I almost cried from happiness. I dont think it's weird at all, I think its utter perfection and I'm going to see if I have enough pics of my childhood dog and cat too.

Since the company does poses, have you thought about what poses you'd like them to have? Maybe something specific to their personality, or just generic sitting?

Most likely I would do a lying down pose so I could have them in their relaxed state on any couch, bed, shelf, floor. They're adorable sitting too but for my current pups I have enough photos and money that if I need multiples I could.

I pinned this a while ago and I think it's a really cool idea. I've been thinking about getting one made for my mom since she had a really hard time when our family dog passed.

There's a few other people who make these too but they're still pretty price ($100+ *I think). But, the Cuddle Clones are the nicest I've seen so far.

My friend showed me this. I totally would do it but can't imagine paying $200!

I want to do this so bad for my dog and I don't even care that it's $200. Maybe someday I can save the money and get it done.
