    **UPDATED OP** Prayers for Jaxson - Surgery Today [pics]

    Advertisements
    Jaxson came home just after 6pm today feeling "good" He was so excited to see us. The vet gave us this RIDICULOUS E-collar. Jaxson isn't a chewer and will not be left alone - ever - with his bandage so he won't need to wear it, but we put it on him just for the laughs. And a bonus of him bummy paw for the next 2-3 weeks. We should find out what exactly what the mass was in 7-10 days.

    Thanks again for all the mojo and goodvibe and prayers. My baby survives another surgery!

    =================================

    OP:

    Yesterday when I got home from running errands in the morning, my poor baby (7yrs old ) Jaxson was limping pretty bad. He's not one to show pain, so I called the vet immediately. They were able to get me in for an appointment within 2hrs. I am forever grateful because this is a brand new vet to us. I had done some research and had found a vet I liked, just hadn't brought him in yet.

    They were awesome. I mean, everyone loves Jax But together we decided to just get the lump/mass thing out since it was causing him so much discomfort and it's rather solid (ruling out just an infection of something that got stuck in his paw). I'm just worried because although they were great there, these are brand new people I'm trusting my baby to. I just hope he feels comfy and safe and UGH. I just hate when he has to be put under anesthesia. He's an adult-sized human (145lbs). Mommy nerves

    Here's some pics of Jax this morning:

    "Mom, where are we going today?"

    Jax and his hospital 'bracelet' (they said it was the longest one they've had to make that wasn't for a horse )

    The problem... although it looks tame because he was off of it all night. Yesterday it was red and his paw looked a little swollen.

    So, please... 'round up that doggy mojo, goodvibes and prayers for Jax today!

    Thank you

    He's been through worse (2 bouts of kidney failure), but I'm just all nerves today. They said I should get to pick him up around 430pm... only 5 more hours!
