    What is my cat doing?

    Advertisements
Flynn is my playful one, spends most of the day antagonizing Abbey and Beast, and randomly sleeps. I've noticed that he has days, like today, where he will run off to play and then I hear him meowing (which is odd in itself because he never meows. He's either quiet of purring) and when I call his name he comes running to me, buries himself in my neck and goes to sleep. But, if I don't call him, he'll just sit in the other room and he sounds so sad.

    What's up with that?

He's about 6 months, we've had him and Beast for 4 months.

Perhaps he wants attention? I wish I knew, I'd understand my cat so much better.

One of my cats does that sometimes. It seems like she is calling to me or the other cat. DH says she's talking to ghosts. If I say her name or pet her she stops

    Are they fixed?

One of our cats does this. She is like a toddler and won't go to sleep when she's tired. She plays and tries to keep herself awake and will be still for a minute and almost fall over trying to keep herself awake. She'll vocalize too, to try to keep awake. If we can get her to cuddle and stay still, she'll fall asleep.

That's kind of cute. And ya, they are both fixed.

My Melon used to do that. It was like he got lost in the kitchen or upstairs or wherever. We'd say "Melon, come in here with the rest of us!" And he'd run in like you'd saved his life. Eventually he grew out of it but it was the funniest thing.
