    Warm water?

    Advertisements
I figure this is a silly question, but is it okay to give my doggies warm water when they come in from outside? They have to stay out longer than I would really like, or else they won't go potty. I always feel bad that it is SO cold out.

The only time I've seen warm water for dogs suggested is if your dog bowl were frozen over or if you have an "outdoor" dog. Otherwise, I think it is supposed to be the usual. It's okay, but some dogs might not like it.

I just know I don't like cold drinks when I come in from such chilly weather!

I've only heard not to give dogs cold water because it can cause bloat. I've never heard anything against warm water. But I am not Dr.Vito so what do I know.

As long as you can safely stick your fingers in the water and hold them there indefinitely (aka its not too hot), it should be fine. They may not like it, but hey, they might.

    :thankyou

I put down a bowl of warm water (not HOT, I would for sure not take a bath/shower in it) but they ignored it and drank their room temp/cool water.
