    Devil Christmas trees and pets

    Advertisements
Thankfully after a whopping 4 years my little poodle has finally learned not to pee on the Christmas tree. He still is a huge fan of hiding under the tree and trying to stash treats in the tree stand. I dread having to pull another treat out of the tree water... Anybody else have issues with their pets and Christmas trees?

The only issues we have with dogs and trees is Great Dane tails knocking ornaments off...

Vera is afraid of the tree, usually. Maybe this year she will be better.

My grandparents old dog used to do that sometimes but he died a few years ago. He was senile so he used to pee on anything that resembled a plant in the house.

Haven't had that issue with any of our other dogs.

I don't know how on earth we managed it but two dogs (one that is 2 and one that is about a year and a half) and two cats, but none of them really even go near the tree. 1 cat broke a branch but that's it .

Our big lab's tail hits the ornaments. We were really worried about our little doxie. She's such a mess and she's still a puppy. Fortunately, she walks a wide circle around the tree and looks at it like

Not really. But the first thing my puppy did after getting the tree all set up was leave a smelly little present under it.

I put a playpen around our tree because our dogs are too rough. They like to pluck the ornaments off, and when they chase each other they trample the presents and run into the tree.

Our cat just lays under it and doesn't really bother the ornaments.

We block the tree with a coffee table covered in a christmasy tablecloth.
