    Declawed cat "sharpens" claws

    Advertisements
That's normal, right? I've never actually had a declawed cat before. She "sharpens" on everything, especially before she jumps up on things- I assume it's just instinct to make sure her claws are sharp enough to help her catch on when she jumps, even though she doesn't have them?

Ok, good, thanks! I feel bad that she doesn't have claws every time she does it.

yep, it looks more like they are "scratching" their pads, but yea both of my cats doo it. there is a chair in he living room that they love to use, I would hate to see what it would look like if they were not declawed!!
