    Vera ate a chicken wing!

Ugh that little shit. The flesh was mostly all eaten, but she ate the bone. I went for two seconds to go to the bathroom and I heard her crunching on it and by the time I got to her she had gobbled it up.

This was about ten minutes and she's having no trouble breathing or anything like that but what should I be looking for? My vet is closed.

That would be adorable. But in the mean time I worry about the bones cutting her up inside!

I hate to admit this but my dog has gotten ahold of MANY chicken bones in her life and she's always been fine. They make her fart a lot though and they smell horrible coming out.

I've heard when they eat stuff like that you should feed them bread or rice so it'll cushion anything sharp.

I found an emergency vet in a nearby town and called them, they said she would be fine. They said I could give her some extra food to help pad her belly and to watch out for bloody stool but that she shouldn't have any problems. Damn dog, she's been so bad lately!

She will probably be ok, however over the next few days look for lethargy, vomiting, dark/tarry/bloody stools or painful abdomen. Cooked chicken bones can splinter and are more likely to poke through her little intestines. Obvi not 100% going to, by any means, simply more likely, so keep an eye out for signs that would show she has poked a hole in her GI tract (very bad).
