    Sad very sick cat

    Advertisements
    Our female is very sick.

she stopped eating Saturday night and now is struggling to walk. She is drinking water like crazy. I'm going to find a vet today to get her in. My poor baby.

She is an older cat. 12 or so. I'm just anxiously waiting for the vet to open. She doesn't really jump to the sink and is very unstable on her legs.

I don't want her to suffer.

I got her in. Her kidneys were failing. There wasn't much we could do. We had to put her down. It was a really hard decision. It was either that or try an IV drip for 3 days and see if it helped. It might prolong it 3 days to 6 months. Why let her suffer.

    I'm really hurting right now.

Oh no! I'm so sorry I'm glad that you were able to put her down peacefully, though. I am so sad for you and your family.
