I have a perfect solution to my cat dilemma

So... My new kitten has been terrorizing my 11 year old cat cause he wants to play and my older cat will have none of that. My older cats nickname is 'Grumpy Old Man' while the new kitten is either love bug or pest.

    So I think I have a solution

Get another kitten for the LoveBug to play with. I'm sure DH will go along with it . And of course the kittens will leave Grumpy Old Man alone

Nah, in all seriousness I don't want another kitten. I probably won't get another one till LoveBug is done Granding in the cat shows.... But wouldn't it be nice if solving my cat dilemma would be as simple as getting the kitten a playmate?

Sidenote, if anyone has any suggestions on how to help them get along I would love to hear them. I have separate litter boxes and our house is big, so it isn't like they each don't have plenty of room to roam around. And with four kids, lack of attention is not a problem.

It solved the same problem my parents had years ago.

I have two cats. They have been together their entire lives. They hate each other. We have to keep them separate all the time.

    I'm no help.

How did you approach your introduction of the two cats?

I am a big fan of Jaxxon Galaxy's approach to cat interaction issues - he's the one with "My Cat From Hell" on Animal Planet and he does a lot of work with integrating cats who have been brought together but do not live happily together. There are a lot of things you can do to lead to a more peaceful, and even happy, co-habitation of the two cats - but it takes work.
