I cant even find the words...

Dodger was diagnosed with Lymphoma today. He got an ultrasound, xrays, and a urine culture (he might also have a UTI). The ultrasound showed that it has spread to his spleen as well but thankfully not to his liver or chest or any other organs. He has an appointment on Tuesday with an oncologist to start his chemo treatments... hopefully it helps at least control it from spreading.

I am totally heartbroken right now. I cant stop myself from crying at the littlest things. I cant do this. I cant loose him. God how much I love this dog... He practically saved my life.

I don't even have words. I am such a dog person - my Sgt. Pepper has been my rock through all of the ups and downs over the last 13 years - he's an oldie but such a goodie. I know our time is coming but it scares the holy living shit out of me. <3 I'm sorry you're going through this - just enjoy the time you have. Make it memorable. Make it lovely. Make it yours.

Huge hugs, and a handful of tears too...

I'm so very sorry. I can't imagine what it must be like, and have literally had panic attacks like worrying about things like this and my dogs are only 4 years and 5 months old. I hope the treatments help keep him happy and healthy and with you for as long as possible.

Thank you everyone. I still cant believe this is happening. I work with this every day but it is 100% different when it is your baby. Dodger is almost 10 so I knew I was going to start having old dog problems... just not this. I didnt sleep well Kept having really bad and odd dreams. I just want it to be Tuesday already so we can start his chemo and get started on helping him get better hopefully. I just do not know what I would do without him.

Sorry to read about Dodger. I know how tough it can be we are in a similar place with our Winston. He just had 8 or so different tumor / weird spots removed during surgery yesterday. I have just been a mess and got no sleep last night. Plus my older dog is not taking well to Winston with the cone on and all of his surgery sites. So that was stressful too last night. We are waiting on biopsy results. I will keep Dodger in my prayers.
