Giggle My not so pleasant Mother of Meows Day 'gift' [IMGS]

...consisted of giving Leia her first bath Friday night.

I mentioned in the Mother's Day thread that we drove to Thomas' hometown to surprise his mom this weekend. Leia has always been a great traveler...but we also always let her out of her carrier...after reading some stuff about how dangerous that is (and having another kitty to keep an eye on), we decided its best they both stay in carriers when we travel.

Here are our babies all strapped in and ready for an 8 hour car ride...

I'll spare you all the gory details and just leave it at 'Leia had a bit of an accident' which resulted in her getting her first bath. Poor kitty! I gotta say though, she did so much better than we thought she'd do!

You are a brave woman for giving a kitty a bath! I'm glad it went better than you expected.

If it was one of my cats and I had to give them a bath, by the end of it I'd be in the tub and that cat would be giving me a bath.

We gave her Ace (pretty much kitty Xanax) before we had to bathe her but even drugged up she's been a little terror in the past...so we were both very proud of how well she did.

Glad it went so well. I am so glad that the kids have chosen our "good bathers" for their 4-H cats - there are a couple that I'd really hate to have to get prepped for show.
Have to say, I love his shirt
