    Gidget has the mange!

Yes, MY little Gidget...my sweetie, my 2 1/2 pound 1 year old chihuahua has MANGE!

It's just the localized kind that will get better soon but still...she looks like a middle-aged man cause she's balding on the top of her head I never knew that mange wasn't contagious! Also, the vet said that since she had parvo her immune system is weaker and that is probably why she got it.

She must think she's badass now that she has a 'big dog' disease, lol...she was chasing squirrels yesterday

    Here she is, my baby:

Is this a dream? If it is, please don't wake me from this high. I'd become comfortably numb
until you opened up my eyes to what it's like when everything is right...I can't believe you found me ♥

Nope, demodectic mange, the more common type, is non-contagious, and fairly common, ESPECIALLY in doggies with weakened immune systems. Sarcoptic, or "red mange" is the contagious kind, but fairly rare. If thats a recent pic, it doesnt look like a bad case AT ALL, look like you did a great job adn caught it quick!

Its nothing that you did...Its good that you are catching it now...Because sometimes its very costly to cure. And its also not a big dog disease!

Not necessarily, I've seen it in a lot of shepherds, in fact my first shepherd had a touch of it.
