I leave food out all day for him. He's skinny so he can use as much food as he can get and Boxers are generally good about not over eating from what I've read at least. Seems to be true for Apollo.

I feed them 2 times a day. They do want more....but they would get obese.

The food and water bowls stay on the floor all day. The food bowl gets filled once a day or every other day (it's a big bowl), depending on how often she eats it. The water bowl gets filled when needbe.

Sophie drinks a lot of watr so she's got that all day. I fill her bowl up when she acts hungry and there isn't anything left... she's so thin and growing so fast that she eats when she's hungry!!!

Twice a day, 8 AM and 6 PM. I'm trying to stay as close to a schedule as possible with them.

ETA: I leave the water out all day and all night. That's one thing I think they should have access to at all hours.

water is out all the time, and buddy gets fed first thing in the morning and around 5 or whenever i remember in the evening--unless there is still food left over from the morning.

Our dog is a fattie, so he's on a diet! He gets fed twice a day, low-calorie weight managment dog food, 2 cups at each feeding. His water bowl is on the floor all day though.

When we had our PomChi, we made sure there was food/water available 24/7. He just ate and drank whenever he felt the need to.
