O nooo...2 striped kitties turn to 4...for right now...(pics #7 & #26) - Pet Pad

Okay, so I get home yesterday and the first thing Chris says is "Okay, don't freak out."

Alrighty then.

Chris heard kittens underneath our house and opened up the back of the shower. When he left to get a flashlight, both of our striped kitties went under the house

So, Chris got in his gorilla suit and went under out house to get the two little freakers. I was going from side to side trying to grab them from the openings.

In between doing so, Chris found one of the kittens and brought it to me.

Great. And he tells me to do what I want with it. Well of course, now I'm bottle feeding it and loving on it. I want to find it a home, but I'm afraid I'm going to get attached. I mean, really, too late.

I kinda wish Chris didn't remove the little guy because he probably was in the spot his mama left him. He looks well fed and healthy and he just opened his little eyes.

On the other hand, thats one less stray because they are everywhere.

So, I'm taking care of the little guy and I have no idea what I will do from there. If I don't find him a home, I guess he's staying with us.

PICTURES!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I think for now the best thing to do would contiue feeding it and take it to the vet? I have no idea, really. I would probably keep it.

Defnitely need pictures for one

Secondly, I'd take him/her to the vet to be evaluated. Possibly keeping him/her in your home until the age to be fixed and put up for adoption...

Yeah, I will be taking him to the vet next week. I'm keeping him seperated from the other kitties just incase he has feline aids or leukemia.

And I agree Cee-Cee, if I don't keep him, I will wait until he's old enough for neutering. There is a no kill shelter here if I don't find him. We are trying to decide if we can afford the little guy.

Chris was saying to just keep him outside, he'd find his way back to his mom, and I was like...ummmmm...no. Chris put him in the yard to see what he would do, saying cats have survived without humans for years (which is true, but still) and the kitten sat there for a minute and then ran to me. Yeah, I'm going to leave him out in the cold...

I know

I'm already getting attached...he may end up staying...yesterday I called and found a no kill shelter in the area and everything, but he already is glued to me and I'm sorta in love with him...
