Blisters on her jayjay

My husband and I have a Great Dane and we noticed this week that she is getting what appear to be blisters on her private area. When we lived in Kansas she got the on her chin and we thought it was because she was getting into something because they cleared up but now she them down there and on her chin again and the only thing we still have from Kansas is our furniture. Has anyone else had this problem with their dog?

Are they really small? It's probably a bacterial rash. One of the foster dogs we had taken care of had one of those rashes and we needed a prescription cleanser from the vet to clear it up.

The ones on her chin aren't really big, but some of the ones on her privates are about the size of the top of a pencil eraser. They don't seem to bother her but we can't get her to the vet until the hubby is done in processing next week

Hmm, well she definitely needs to see the vet. There is obvious some kind of issue. Why can't you bring her to the vet sooner?

It sounds like it could be either a pyoderma or vaginitis, or it could be secondary to a UTI. Either way your pup needs to see a Vet asap for possible antibiotics and definitely a cleanser. Does she lick down there at all? Is she urinating more frequently or having accidents? Are there bumps anywhere else on her, like on her belly or her inner thighs, or is it only on her chin?

My dog has allergies and gets these nasty blood blisters on her chin. She also licks her hair off down where her legs meet the belly...like she's giving herself a bikini wax. These are the two areas that have the most contact with the ground when she is doing her business.

We only have one car and by the time he gets home most of the vets office are closed, still not good finding my way around town so I can't take him to work to take her.

Only on her chin and her vagina (might as well use the correct term). She is still going potty like normal and she did have an accident this weekend but we were gone almost all day. She does lick down there but she's finishing her 2nd heat and she did the same licking when she had her first one.

Are you planning on getting her spayed at all? Since she's done this before when she's had a heat cycle it's most likely an infection stemming from that. One of my clients at the clinic I work for needs to get antibiotics after every heat cycle because of infections. If you're not careful she could develop pyometra, which is a uterine infection, and it is silent and deadly and costs a fortune for the surgery.

Please please please take her to a vet as soon as you can, even if it's the closest emergency clinic after he gets home from work.

My husband wants her to have a litter of puppies first so that we can have a male then he'll get her fixed. This is the first time she's gotten the blisters on the vagina and the last time she had them on her chin it was a few months before her cycle. My husband just said he might be able to take her tomorrow afternoon since his last brief is at 11. I'm hoping that it's just some skin irratation, we stayed at the billets for a few days and she was rubbing on the limoniem floors we noticed the bumps after that.
