ok i did something sooo horrible,
and i cant stop beating myself up about it. yesterday i was trying to cut my dogs (Minnie, toy yorkie 8 mo. old)hair with scissors. just trimming it really. and i accidently snipped her. IT WASNT BAD, just a small cut. and i totally freaked out. so i wrapped her little leg in gauze * thanks to my husbands military first aid kit... * and i put some peroxide on it. and she's not limping, and its just a little cut.so she should be fine right? i guess i just need someone to tell me im not a horrible pet owner, or maybe i just need to stop flipping out. has this ever happened to anyone else?

You aren't a horrible pet owner!! It happens to the best of us! Your baby still loves you.
And you took care of it right away. When I clipped my dog's toenails, once in a while, it would go too deep. And she'd bleed a little. But it heals and she forgave me.

Cut it just like hairstylists do our hair and use your fingers to line up where you are going to cut.She should be okay, just watch it.

My husband did that to our cat when we had to it a knot out of his hair. It barely bled but I freaked and felt soo bad. We just kep normal neosporin on the cut..they tell you normal neosporin not the kind plus pain, I guess they can't have the pain plus stuff. But we kept it on there and it healed in no time. He didn't care he just hoppin all over the place like nothing happened

![]() if you only knew how many times i've cut buddy my cocker spaniel...i'm surprised he still lets me touch him. and once i got him bad, with the clippers/clipper blade. she'll be ok. keep an eye on it and she'll forgive you. my little guy does every time you're not a bad owner

Not horrible, and sounds like you did the right thing! I've made my pets bleed while snipping toenails before. I feel bad when I do that, but sometimes it happens (especially when snipping dark-colored dog toenails....).
