I thought he was going to kill him
So the dogs (olders, and bigger:Buddy Younger:Jack) were playing on the floor. There normal thing, biting, barking wrestling etc. Buddy always grabs jacks collar, not unusual. He learned that little gem from my dad's dog.
Well all of sudden the both start SCREAMING. I look and I realize that some how they are hooked onto eachother. I couldn't tell if Buddy's teeth were in jacks collar, in his lip, or what. They were screaming and Jack was gasping. Buddy was draggin Jack around trying to pull free and Jack couldn't breath. They were both freaking out so bad I though Buddy was going to snap his neck or Jack was going to suffocate. I couldn't get them unhooked. I started screaming to Dh to come downstairs. I was freaking, and so were they. I was trying to find the clasp on Jack's collar, while trying to hold them still. Finally Jack stopped gasping altogether. Within about 3 seconds of Jack stopping gasping I found the clasp and unhooked them. Jack ran and hid in the kitchen. Buddy (who is completely housebroken) was so nervous he peed on the floor. Everyone is fine. There's no blood. Jack is back to normal now. But I almost had a freaking heart attack. I am still shaking. I can not believe that just happened. I really thought Jack was gonna die. I though Buddy was going to strangle him or break his neck. I'm still freaking out. I can't believe that. Everyone's collars are off and no one is ever wearing a collar in the house again. |

No chain collars, they are both beagles so their ears are too long for them. Just regular vinyl collars. Never again though. collars will only be used on walks from now on.
