Pet Insurance??? HELP!
Hey everyone! Just wondering if anyone on here has pet insurance or has had any experience with it... we are really looking into it...we are tired of the hundreds of dollars in vet bills. Just wondering about how these places are with reimbursement and how good the coverage is! Help me! Also if anyone can reccomend a certain insurance place that would be amazing! This is all very confusing!

We have insurance coverage for our 2 dogs through the ASPCA. It works well, but as previously mentioned, does not cover pre-existing conditions, and some other conditions have stipulations that may prevent your pet from being covered for them.

From what I understand, pet insurance isn't worth it unless you're going to the vet A LOT, but that's just what i hear. i dont have it for my dog.

I have a pet plan for both cats through Banfield. It saved us a lot the first year, but now that they only get shots like once a year it really doesn't save and costs more than its worth.
However for the first year, I give props. |

I would highly recommend Embrace Pet Insurance (www.embracepetinsurance.com). I had to do a lot of research on different companies for the vet office I work for and they seem to have the most bang for the buck and are one of the top consumer rated pet insurance companies (www.petinsurancereview.com). They cover wellness and accident/illness and have a rolling pre-existing condition policy where if a pet has a condition before you enroll and that pet isn't see for that condition again within the next policy year then it is taken off the pre-existing list and will be covered. They also have excellent customer service and from the testimonials I've read they reimburse you for more than most insurance companies will and with a lot less hassle.
I highly recommend you go to www.petinsurancereview.com and take a look at the list of the top rated companies and go from there in your research as it really does depend on what you want covered. Best of luck and if you have any questions feel free to PM me!
