Dog acne

Chops has a couple bumps on his chin, it looks like acne. I looked up bulldogs with acne, and it says it's common when they hit puberty. So I was wondering if anyone else's bulldog got acne on their chin? He's almost 1 year old.

But on a serious note, one of my clients bullys has acne on her chin too. They said it's been getting better (she's almost 18 months) and the vet said they can just wipe it with puppy wipes to keep bacteria away.

Also check to make sure you're using bowls that are made out of something other than plastic. Try ceramic or metal. Plastic can sometimes cause acne because of the bacteria that gets trapped in the miniscule scratches on the bowl.

We have metal bowls. When he drinks water, it drips all over his chin, so I'm thinking maybe it's from that and just putting his mouth all over things.
