I was sitting on the floor, trying to open the stupid frontline to put it on Sire. I had an open slice of cheese on the floor(I use a piece of cheese to put the heartworm pill in) and it still had the bottom half of the wrapper on it. Sire kept going for it and I kept saying leave it and he would back up and sit. I finaly got the frontline open and I turn to throw the outer layer in the garbage and in those 2 seconds, he had gobbled it down, plastic wrapper and all.
I'm keeping an eye on him and he seems fine, he swallowed it fine and isnt acting weird. Should I worry? |

If it makes you feel any better.... Probably 5 or 6 months ago my lab snatched up a corn dog that my 4 year old dropped while eating lunch. She swallowed it in one big gulp without chewing (because I was rushing to get it from her), stick and all, completely whole. She puked up the stick 2 days later in her crate.

Our pup has eaten two books, my husbands wallet, the box to a crock pot, several cards and a ton of wrapping paper in the last two days and it hasn't slowed him down a bit. Dumb ass that he is seems to be pleased with himself.
We called the vet and they said if he started acting weird to bring him in but considering it was mostly paper products they figured it would pass through his system. Last edited by Caltanan; 06-22-2009 at 08:33 AM. |
