i have pet insurance. and worth every penny IMO.

i ended up having to take my doxie to the puppy er and spent $400...now it would be like $20. its good just to have incase. and usually it covers any sort of surgery.

we just went through our insurance agent and she got us the best deal (it helps its my MIL lol). but i def recommend it.

We decided instead of pet insurance, to start a savings account that we put money into each month for our two dogs. We have an 8 year old and a 3 year old. Our quote was at around 65 dollars per month for both of them. For us, it was the better option to just put 100 or so a month into an account, instead of throwing money away to an insurance company. Seeing that we have not had any pet emergencies for over a year, the money sits in the bank and gains interest. All of the money is in our hands, and is there if we need it for their care.

I like that idea. I might have to start my kitty a savings account.
