would it be ok to leave a cat alone

    Advertisements
    for like 5 days?

I want to go back home for a few days and I have someone to watch the little guy for the first few days.. but not the last like 5 days of me being gone..

do you think he would be okay alone?

    *edit*
what about forlike a week? where for the first 2 days someone comes and checks in on him and feeds him..?
I feel like a horrible pet owner/mommy for thinking about leaving the little guy for so long

I have...I put food and water in more than one place and made sure the cat box was clean and then cleaned it when we got home. I have done this more than once, my cat is fine.

I think so. I would just stock up on food and water and put out more than one litter box.

I think he should be fine. Just make sure that there is PLENTY of food an water for him and that he has some cool shelter if he is an outdoor cat.

I'm like everyone else. I have done it several times!! And my cats are fine.

Just make sure you have plenty of food and water out for them.

    And a clean litter box.

I have left mine that long. I just made sure there was plenty of food and water for him. And I cleaned the little box the night before i left so it wasnt to bad when I got home.

I've done 5 days before with my two cats. Just leave lots of food and water and have a huge litter box available.

    I have before.

My only tip.... dont open a window.... and if you have to make sure it has a screen.

Lucifer, my old cat jumped out of the window that i craked open and got hit by a car when I left him alone for 5 days. Worst mistake I have ever made.

I agree that he should be fine. I've left my cats for about that long before and they were always fine, (even though I worried the whole time.) Leave food and water in water, it might be a good idea to get those bowls that you can fill up and they disperse as the pet eats. I'd also leave an extra clean litterbox.
