My Gary is an indoor kitty. He's scared to go outside. And there are raccoons and I don't want him getting hurt. I rarely ever take his collar off. My sister loves to but I like to keep it on him... just in case. Ya know?

i tried to find one today at petco while i was getting essentials (litterbox, food, litter, etc) but they only had the ones with bells and that wasn't a first choice so if push comes to shove i can take the bell off

ours wear their collars all the time, but are not allowed to go outside. they are strictly indoors. they are also microchipped. better safe than sorry IMO. also the bells you will get used to even if you leave them on. i didn't even remember their collars had bells until i just read what you said about it.
