    Is this bad?

    Advertisements
My kitty has been making throw up sounds, like she's going to hack something up, but she never actually does. I give her hairball preventative, so I don't think that's it. Does anyone know? Is this just a normal thing?
    TIA!

My dog will sometimes make wheezing noises and it sounds like she is going to hawk (sp?) up a hairball..and I have no clue what it is...

Have you thought about calling the vet and seeing what they say?

I've only heard my kitty do that 1 or 2 times and he's a year already. I hope it's nothing serious, but I have no clue.

All of my cats are doing that right now. Is your kitty sneezing or anything? If you hear the kitty wheeze or gurgling when she breaths it could be an upper respiratory infection. If not its just allergies. Keep an eye on the kitty. We just took our cats to the vet for that yesterday. $260 dollars later we are home with antibiotics! Expensive little things!

Narnia does that when she eats something dumb. Like hot wings. Or string.

It sounds just like she's gonna hack up a hairball, so I don't think it's allergies.
I think I'm just going to give the vet a call tomorrow.
