Got any idea what this could be? (IMGs)

I found this bump right above my dog's tail. It is very swollen and raised up. I plan on taking her to the vet either on Wednesday (if I can get out of the doctor's office early enough) or on Friday, which is my day off. I just want to know if it is something to worry about that needs to be looked at ASAP or if it can wait until Friday. I pushed on it lightly to see if it was causing her any pain, but she acted fine when I did it. Regardless, I plan on taking her to the vet...just wanted to know if any of you know what it could be. TIA!!

It looks kinda gross (to me) and in the 2nd pic, I put a dime next to it to try to show the size of it better...it's kinda hard to see with all of her hair.

What kind of dog is it? I know that goldens, and some other breeds get "hot spots". Does she scratch it a lot?

She is a Cocker Spaniel. I haven't seen her mess with it.

How old is she? I know as my dog got older she would develop like raised blood boils kind of.

I think taking her in asap just to be safe is the best plan!

She is a little over a year old. Hopefully it is a mole, but whatever it is...I hope it doesn't cost much!
