    pet licensing

What do you think about pet licensing?

In mi, its dogs only, based on counties and you have to prove your animal is vaxed for rabies. It costs $10/yr.

I've found in wa that its both dogs and cats, municipality based, no proof of rabies vax, and the piece varies widely. $30/yr in my first municipality and $10/2 yrs in my current one.

Do you license your pets? Are yo for or against it.

    Discuss.

I'm outside of city limits, so we don't have to license, and I don't.

Against it. It serves no purpose other than revenue. They need to call it a "Pet Tax."
When you adopt an pet from a shelter, they usually take care of the initial registration.

My cats are licensed because they have to be.

    I think it's pointless.

I agree it should be a pet tax rather than a license. It's completely pointless and serves absolutely no purpose.

How do you think that they pay the animal control officers in most counties?

We do and they are current...Its part of being a responsible Pet Owner. Also, I would look and make sure if you need to or not.
Are you scrappy enough for me
