Does anyone else have an AKC registered dog? What are the benefits that are most useful to you?

I have an AKC schnauzer. Honestly none.
I don't show her ( she can't really anymore because she is spayed) we don't do any agility training or anything like that. Mainly I just like saying she is AKC registered.

    I will miss you SOS...
Please be wary of what you post remember OPSEC is not just another acronym.

I have an AKC registerd Boxer. I don't show, she is spayed, but I have her blood lines and papers to prove she is what I say she is and not some other breed.

My pug is AKC registered. But he's truly just a regular ol' dog. So, no benefits I guess.

I have an AKC Schnauzer too! Is she a mini? I got Elle spayed too and I don't do the agility training either. I just like saying, well Elle is AKC etc.

If you are wanting to show, breed or do agility, you need the AKC papers, if not, it's basically just proof that they are purebred

My lab is AKC registered. We don't do anything right now that it's needed for... so nothing for us
