Oh my goodness!!! The hamster excaped!!

Some time yesterday morning Lily fed Lola, our teddy bear hamster, a carrot. She couldn't get the top of the cage closed but didn't bother to to tell anyone. This morning Lily discovered Lola was not in her cage. The cat has free roam of the house. So I just assumed we'd find the Lola dead some where. All of us turned the house up side down looking in every tiny space we could think of. After awhile we gave up and hoped shed come out on her own when the house was quiet.

    FF about 45 minutes

Johns doing the dishes for me and makes this clicking noise to call the dog. Normally its the same sound he makes when he plays with Lola. He said he took a step and kicked something furry!! Lola apparently had found a way behind the cupboards. She survived the 4 1/2 foot fall from the top of her cage, she survived the cat and she didn't get stuck or hurt behind the cupboards. Shes filthy but seems fine. I'm sure shes hungry and tired! I'm so glad shes ok

Yeah, I forgot that part. Those things used to get out ALL the time. We weighted the lid down with books and stuff I so don't miss them. They're soooo cute though

P.S- so glad Lola is O.k! I had one named Lili!

Shes never gotten out before. The main part of her cage is a plexi glass tank and we have a cage extender, I guess it could be called, on the top so she'd have more room to play.

Glad you found her. Ours escaped many times as well because kids didn't close the cage
