So what is the most effective way to pick up dog poo...I'm assuming there has to be a better way than what I have been doing

Also is there anything wrong with sticking it straight in the garbage if it's in a plastic bags? My neighbor followed me the other day to see what I was putting in the trash and it me.

I used the little baggies(stick my hand in it, grab poop, turn inside out and tie) and I'd just toss that in the trash, yup.

I do the hand in the bag thing too, unless I'm doing a major cleanup when I've slacked off, and then it's a shovel and gardening thingy. Either way, I put it in the trash. I've heard lots of things about it being bad for the water, but not the trash.

get a dustpan, the kind they use in hotels and resteraunts ( they have a long handle and close) and a very small garden rake, use grocery bags in the dust pan and the rake to rake it in.
this is how pooper scooper co. do it!

That's basically what I have been doing but with grocery bags instead. But it is usually a big mess and I feel like some is still left on the ground. My neighbors probably hate me .

My mom buys plastic gloves and sends my brother out to pick it up. They say it's actually easier to pick up that way.

we have a scooper, chompy like thing that picks it up. and i have a small trash can out in the back of the yard that i scoop it into with a grocery bag in it and empty it as need be. then i just put that back in our garbage bin usually on garbage collection day.
