    Screwy Weird Cat...

    Advertisements
Ok so I caught my cat drinking out of the toilet bowl earlier today. I didn't post when I noticed it as I was working on an outline for a paper...but I'm wondering if it's just my cat? She had her bowl of water completely filled. WITH BRITA WATER...so I'm not understanding why she felt the need to put herself in the toilet and drink away.
Should I be weary of this behavior?

I prefer to keep my lids closed to avoid that happening. This is an especially good idea if you have any in-bowl cleaning/freshening items in use as they are toxic. Even without those, though, the bacteria population in the bowl is enough to make me want to keep their tongues out of there. Sure they lick lots of other nasty stuff with those tongues, but I just can't bring myself to be okay with licking the toilet bowl.

My kitty does this. Such a weirdo. My dog won't do it, but my cat does it. And if I close the lid she pushes it open while I'm sleeping.
    Full water bowl and everything.

I keep my lid down because I have a habit of dropping things. Toothbrush, brush, makeup.

That's so odd my kitty is terrified of the toilet, could never imagine her drinking out of it.

I thought this wasn't normal as she's never done this before...I'll just keep the lid down from now on.
    Thanks girls!
